How to use the Audio Volume Booster
Drag and drop an audio file onto the upload area, or click it to browse your device
The file is decoded locally using the Web Audio API, and its peak amplitude is measured automatically
Choose a boost preset like 1.5x, 2x, 3x, or 4x louder, or select Custom to set an exact gain multiplier
The Custom slider lets you fine tune the gain from 0.1x up to 8x, with the equivalent decibel change shown next to it
Keep the soft limiter enabled to smoothly tame loud peaks instead of harshly clipping them
Watch the Samples Clipping stat to see how much of the audio would distort at your chosen gain level
Choose 16-bit for standard quality, 24-bit for studio quality, or 32-bit float for maximum precision on export
Click Boost Volume to apply the gain through a GainNode style calculation and encode the result as a WAV file
Preview the boosted result in the built-in audio player before downloading it
Click Download Boosted WAV to save the louder file directly to your device
All decoding, boosting, and encoding happens locally in your browser. Your audio file is never uploaded to any server
